Topic: Utilizing Your Talents and Gifts
Text: (Matthew 25:14-15)
Ministering: Bro Adesanmi Omotosho (MFM Region Youth President)
Most of us, are in the house of God, have diverse gifts but don't know how to utilize it.
What does God see you as in the house of God?
>>> What Is Talent?
Talent is;
1. something you're born with.
2. what separate you from others.
>>>> Gifts
Is supernatural. The gift God gives you is not solely for you. (Example is Daddy G.O. - Dr. D.K. Olukoya's divine gift from God)
>>> Notes to ponder on...
1. Talent is different from knowledge.
2. The ability to discern what you have, is key to your life.
3. You're the manager of the gifts that God has given to you.
4. If you think your talent is to make money, you have completely missed it.
5. God has given you a talent that's equal to your managing ability.
6. In utilizing your gift, you must know that God has entrust a responsibility in you.
It's your responsibility to know what you are configured for.
We don't utilize our talent because, we are;
• lazy
• afraid
If you don't know your destination, every junction looks like a destination to you.
Ask yourself these questions
Who are you? Are you a manager or a damager?
If you know who you are, people will recognize you.
Talent is a gift or attribute that you have.
>>> Gifts are divided into 3 namely:
• Teaching
• Sign and miracles
• Service administrator
>>> To utilize your talent and gift to optimal capability, you need;
• the place of prayer
• to know your friend
• to know your place of study.
For you to grow in life, you need a mentor.
Who is your mentor?
For you to optimize in life, you need to be a man of vision.

A Child's Cry

I am a child
Let me live like one
Enjoy the days of my childhood
I want to run around
Play with sand
I want to go to school
And become a great leader of my nation
Don't abuse me verbally
Don't abuse me sexually
Don't teach me evil
Instead give me a book and a pen
Hear my cry and let me live like a child i am
Don't send me to the street to sell
And don't beat me too much for my mistakes
Cos i won't get corrected
Instead i will have a strong heart
Let the days of my childhood be one to remember
And when i grow up and have a child.
I will give that child that u gave me
I will let him or her enjoy life as a child.

Monaco cruise through to Champions League semi-finals after brushing aside Borussia Dortmund

AS Monaco 3 Borussia Dortmund 1 (agg: 6-3): Goals from Kylian Mbappe, Radamel Falcao and Valere Germain fired the hosts to an easy win

Kylian Mbappe, Radamel Falcao and Valere Germain were on target as Monaco scored three goals for the fourth consecutive Champions League match.
The Germans were up against it in the second leg having lost 3-2 at home last week, the match played a day later than originally scheduled after three bombs exploded close to the Dortmund bus, leaving defender Marc Bartra in hospital with arm injuries.
Although the Spaniard was able to attend the return match in Monaco and sit with his squad on the bench as well as deliver the final part of what was most-likely an emotional team talk, there was to be no fairy-tale ending as the Ligue 1 leaders completed the job with another impressive victory.
Following a five-minute delay to kick off after the Dortmund team bus had been held up by police en route to the stadium, Mbappe fired the hosts into an early lead.

Dortmund midfielder Nuri Sahin hit a post with a free-kick before Falcao headed in a second for Monaco on 17 minutes to all but end the match as a contest.
German midfielder Marco Reus netted a consolation for Dortmund at the start of the second half, with Monaco substitute Germain adding a late third for Leonardo Jardim's well-drilled outfit just moments after coming on.
Dortmund were earlier left unimpressed by their delayed arrival, which the Bundesliga club said in a post on Twitter was because the bus had been stopped by police "for approximately 20 minutes without justification".
Whatever the reasons behind the travel issues, there was nothing but support for Dortmund inside the ground.
Before kick-off, the home fans showed solidarity by unveiling a banner which read: "BVB: You Will Never Walk Alone" as the anthem played out around the Stade Louis II.
When the action got under way, hopes of a recovery from Dortmund were dealt an early setback when Mbappe swept Monaco in front after just three minutes.
Defender Benjamin Mendy charged forwards down the left and shot from just outside the penalty area.

Dortmund keeper Roman Burki could only parry the ball, which fell straight to Mbappe and the 18-year-old coolly slotted into the bottom left corner.

The Germans then needed three goals without reply, and came agonisingly close to reducing the deficit when Sahin curled a 20-yard free-kick over the wall but against the inside of the post before the ball bounced along the goal-line and away.
Monaco then doubled their lead on 17 minutes following a flowing break when Thomas Lemar curled the ball into the Dortmund box from the left and Falcao dispatched a diving header into the bottom right corner.
Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel decided to make an attacking change after 26 minutes, when 19-year-old forward Ousmane Dembele replaced defender Erik Durm.
The Germans regrouped at the interval, with Tuchel again switching formations as Marcel Schmelzer replaced Sahin at the start of the second half to fill in at left-back with Raphael Guerreiro shifting to midfield.
Reus, who had missed the first leg with a hamstring injury, pulled a goal back within three minutes when he smashed a cross from Dembele into the top corner after the teenager had charged down the right.
As the hour mark passed, Monaco had a great chance to put the tie out of reach when a long ball found Falcao in space, but although the Colombian twisted past defender Matthias Ginter, he could only stab the ball over both the keeper and the crossbar.
With nine minutes left Monaco substitute Valere Germain, who had only just come on for Mbappe, swept the ball in at the far post following a run down the left by Lemar.

PFA Team of the Year 2017: Chelsea and Tottenham players dominate selection

Eden Hazard and N’Golo Kante lead a PFA Team of the Year dominated by Chelsea and Tottenham stars, but there is no place for either Zlatan Ibrahimovic or Alexis Sanchez.
In total there are four players from Antonio Conte’s title chasers in the team, with second-placed Spurs, who are only four points behind the Blues, also contributing a quartet of players.
Manchester United’s only representative is in goal, with David De Gea being voted in for the third consecutive year, ahead of Hugo Lloris and PFA Young Player of the Year nominee Jordan Pickford
The Premier League’s top two goalscorers, Harry Kane and Romelu Lukaku are paired together up front while Sergio Aguero continues his unwanted record of never making a PFA Team of the Year.

Liverpool’s Sadio Mane is the final member of the team which was voted in its usual 4-4-2 format, despite Chelsea and Tottenham’s move to a 3-5-2 this season.

Tears as family of three is buried

Tears flowed freely yesterday at Ibeshe Tuntun, Ikorodu, Lagos, as the remains of the Ebhodaghes were buried in their 20, Oyekanmi Street home.
Mr Lucky Ebhodaghe, his wife, Margaret and their only son, Jonathan were killed last Tuesday in their home by persons suspected to be members of a notorious gang, known as Badoo in the area.
The funeral started at 10am with a service in front of their home.
Family members, friends, and the community attended the solemn ceremony.
The late Ebhodaghe was lowered into the grave around 10:37am; the late Mrs Ebhodaghe, at 10:44am and the late Jonathan, 10:59am.
The remains were each put in a white casket before being buried in graves dug beside one another.
Pastor Gabriel Orokunle, of the Deeper Life Bible Church, who officiated at the service, charged the sympathisers to leave judgment about what happened to God.
He said as “born again Christians,” the Ebhodaghes had gone to heaven. The Cleric urged the sympathisers to take solace in God.
A relative of the Ebhodaghes, John Alekhuojie, described the death as pathetic and a big loss.
“They have wiped out a whole generation,” he said.
He said the gang raped the woman, tied a white cloth to her waist, smashed the head of the three victims and took their blood.
Alekhuojie described the late Mr Ebhodaghe as gentle, peace-loving and a committed Christian.
He said: “Margeret was a very easy going person who lived peacefully with her neighbours. She was always seen doing evangelism.”
Amid tears, the late Mrs Ebhodaghe’s sister, Agnes Michael, said: “I feel bad and terrible, it is a deep cut; she is the pillar in my family, she led all seven of us to the Lord. Now, they came and wiped off my sister, son and husband for no reason. Justice must prevail.”
The deceased, she said, was a nurse and sold recharge cards in bulk to make ends meet.
The Chairman of the Ibeshe Tuntun Community Development Association (CDA), Mr Funshon Akintimehin, described the Ebhodaghes as “God-fearing”. He said their demise was a loss to the community.
“I have never met him quarrelling, our letters are going to the government and we need them to find a lasting solution,” he said.
Akintimehin said there had been several attacks on the community and its neighbours. He urged the government to beef up security in the community.
He said: “Nobody knows the evil doers or where they come from. We do not know if these people are spirits or humans. Crime has been going on for some time both in this community and neighbouring ones. We have strategies in place, we are working with the police to make sure the perpetrators are caught.
“Most of us now go out for vigilante at night to secure ourselves. Commissioner of Police (CP) brought about four divisions including the Special Anti-Robbery Squared (SARS) and anti-crime. We ensured that our roads are graded to make security officials come and go out of the community freely.
“We protested at Alausa last year on insecurity in the area, but since the CP brought police and other security forces, the crime in the area has not ended. We believe in the security agencies; let all of them come in to help us.”
